Threshold Membrane
Plotter drawing and paper cut, 23*28 cm, 2025

A paper work combining plotter drawing and cutting. The piece presents a delicate geometric grid in the shape of a sphere that has undergone an algorithmic "shock," leading to its decomposition. In this process, many of the threads composing the "tissue" were unravelled and torn, yet the overall presence of the spherical form is maintained.
The work addresses the tension between wholeness and decay. The "threshold" here is the fine line where a form ceases to exist as matter and becomes merely a memory or a suggestion. The process of unravelling emphasizes the vitality found in the fracture—the structure survives not despite the disintegration, but through the persistence of its outline within the chaos.
