The Cipher Ascent

Wood CNC cut, 50*92*60 cm, 2025

A CNC wood-cutting piece executed in milling at varying depth levels. The work is based on the "Worley Noise" algorithm in Manhattan metric—a mathematical variation that creates rigid geometric patterns with sharp angles. The combination of different depth layers and the geometric subdivision of the surface produce a complex structure reminiscent of a multi-dimensional maze or futuristic infrastructure maps.

The work explores the concept of the "entanglement"—a place where order and chaos coexist. The "science fiction" appearance of the piece stems from the tension between structural symmetry and the asymmetry of depth, reflecting the feeling of getting lost within a complex technological or urban system that operates according to a logic beyond the viewer's reach.
