Shamanic Vector

A plotter drawing documenting a simulation of particle trails. The particles move through vector fields scattered over a 3D model of a Shaman's face (originally created for an early animated film by the artist). The calculated movement of the particles across the face and the flat background is translated into the delicate lines that compose the figure. Philosophical Aspect: The work suggests a state of consciousness characterized by flow and complexity, where the mythical and the algorithmic meet. The trails are evidence of the passage of time and transience within a digital space; the Shaman, an ancient symbol of mediation between worlds, becomes here a mediator between mathematical order and the experience of the form's hovering and disintegration.
