Resonance Body

A paper work created using a cutting plotter. The starting point is a series of concentric rings undergoing wave-like deformation. The physical cutting of the paper reveals the tension between the two-dimensional plane and the volume created by the folds.

"Memory Folds" deals with the mark that time leaves on matter. The wavy motion that "invades" the static rings represents time as both a disruptive and a constructive force. The folds are a physical record of a movement path—a material memory of a fleeting moment.
